Moscow Grand City Tour
After breakfast Explore the magnificent Red Square & Kremlin – the most famous square in Moscow. Kremlin is the symbol of the Russian capital. In 1990, the complex of the Moscow Kremlin and Red Square were included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List.
First visit Kremlin and the cathedrals of Kremlin. “Kremlin” means fortress inside a city. Kremlin is a fortified fortress complex at the heart of Moscow, overlooking the Moskva River to the south, Saint Basil’s Cathedral and Red Square to the east, and the Alexander Garden to the west. It is the best known of the kremlins (Russian citadels) and includes five palaces, four cathedrals, and the enclosing Kremlin Wall with Kremlin towers. Also, within this complex is the Grand Kremlin Palace that was formerly the tsar’s Moscow residence. The complex now serves as the official residence of the President of the Russian Federation and as a museum.
Visit Aleksander garden. Here the history and nature are harmoniously intertwined and the majestic architecture of gives soulful atmosphere. Visit Tomb of the unknown soldier, Lenin’s Mausoleum where the embalmed body of the communist leader is housed, world clock fountain. You will also see Kazan cathedral & state historical museum building.Explore Saint Basil’s Cathedral from outside, visit Nikolskaya street & GUM state department store leisurely.
Admire the architecture of Bolshoi theater from outside. The building itself is one of Moscow’s most symbolic sites, a truly impressive example of Russian Classical architecture that faces the Kremlin walls, and some fairly tacky open-air bars and restaurants, with proud indifference. The Bolshoi is the second biggest opera house in Europe (after La Scala), and grandeur and artistic strength are combined in everything from the impressive statue of Apollo that crowns the facade to the ballet’s famously muscular style of choreography.
Visit the monumental building of Moscow State University from outside and the Leninskie gory view point. Today it is difficult to imagine Moscow without the majestic silhouette of the main building of Lomonosov Moscow State University. The most large-scale high-rise building in the capital stands at Vorobyevy or Leninskie Gory (Sparrow or Lenin Hills) since 1953. It was the year of completion of the 4-year unprecedented construction project of the University ensemble designed by architects L. Rudnev, S. Chernyshev, P. Abrosimov and A. Hryakov. The chief engineer of the project was V.N. Nasonov. The complex consists of 30 major and 20 auxiliary buildings, an observatory, a botanical garden, a park, and a sports area. Its total surface area is about 167 hectares.
Visit Victory Park & Triumphal Arch
Moscow’s Victory Park is located directly on Poklonnaya Hill, one of the key mountaintops in the city and its history. At the epicenter is an obelisk with the statue of St. George cutting the throat of a Nazi-covered snake. This vivid and bloody imagery is a small sample of the goal and purpose of the memorial park: to celebrate and commemorate the victories of the Russian people.
